Welcome Marmot Fans!

I started drawing Marmots after watching them scurry through Riverfront Park on my way to work. I liked to imagine they had a secret underground society where they spent time hosting tea parties and discussing politics. Naturally, it made sense to create a whole product line from my wild imaginings.

  • What is a Marmot?

Marmots are large burrowing rodents, about the size of a housecat. The Yellow-bellied marmot is what's native to our area, listen carefully for their distinctive shiek!

  • Is this a real society?

It is if we make it one! Right now the Spokane Marmot Society is about celebrating this naughty urban critter. I love hearing stories about local marmot encounters.

  • Where can I find them?

Rocky areas mostly - like those along the Centennial Trail. Try Riverfront Park, towards the upper falls dam, or Highbridge disc golf course!
